Why limit this to paradise earth? One could also ask, what would living forever in heaven be like? Sooner or later you’re going to know all the other angels, and I don’t suppose they engage in any sports, or watch detective shows, or have tough projects. This immortal soul thing sucks even more than everlasting life on earth. At least with the latter you can top yourself if you’ve had enough after a few zillion millenniums, if you’re immortal you’re stuffed.

the rise may continue to be relatively slow for at least the next century or so, the scientists said, but sometime after that it will probably speed up so sharply as to become a crisis.. this is really happening, said thomas p. wagner, who runs nasas programs on polar ice and helped oversee some of the research.

Has she hit it right on the head? It might not be too difficult to love someone who disagrees with your religious/political views, but I find it hard to feel any love for the arsehole who stole by motorbike and wrecked it, and that’s pretty trivial compared to the stuff that’s been done to other people.
I always find it somewhat amusing when Christians espouse that “Love” is the message of Christ, that Love is all you need – they conveniently ignore the other side of Christ, as did Ghandi. “Do not think I came to bring peace to the earth; I came to bring, not peace, but a sword. For I came to cause division, with a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.” (Matt 10:34-35).
Yep, he certainly succeeded in doing that far more effectively than he did in spreading Love.

JW Literature... Lots of it... what to burn and what to keep?

i am definitely keeping the 1993 and 1994 bound volumes of the awake!
(no, we are not false prophets... down in the same page, the generation of 1914 will not pass... also the youths who put god the watchtower first).

Personally I wouldn't burn it, I wish I had kept all of mine, but I left it with my first wife who's still in, and has probably thrown most of it out anyway. It may be "wall-to-wall BS" but it's one of our best tools in exposing that BS. Imagine if none of it existed anywhere anymore, how would we prove their lies?
